When eating out in fashionable restaurants at Covent Garden in the evening, it is easy to be oblivious to the homeless people who later curl up in each doorway, looking for shelter for the night – even in London’s deep winter. And are we aware that 30% of children in England are bought up below poverty line? At Salisbury School in Queens Park, London, parents donate groceries each Tuesday for the homeless.
